I've been seeing ads for vitamin C serum products that are mixed together before you use them.
Clinique has one called Fresh Pressed Daily Booster Vitamin C.
I was wondering what everyone thought about it. Does it really make a difference? If so how.
Thanks,
Sue

Editor's Note:
Hi Sue! Thanks for your question about fresh vitamin C power skin care.
Yes, applying pure vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) to your skin daily can make a significant difference in your skin's tone and texture and helps even out skin tone.
There are many articles supporting the anti-aging effects of using "pure" vitamin C - especially in the form of L-ascorbic acid.
However, for these effects to work - the vitamin C must be fresh. Once it is mixed with a liquid or cream it starts to degrade.
So the vitamin C creams found in your local drugstore have been sitting there for months or years - which renders the vitamin C useless.
That is why companies like Clinique came up with a way to add a bit of vitamin C powder to your cream before each use - so it's fresh and potent.
You can read more about that here........
Personally, I use the Crystal Vitamin C Serum mentioned in the link above.
It contains 16% vitamin C - much better/stronger than Clinique's Fresh Pressed Pure Vitamin C which only contains 10%.
And mine cost$$ half the price of Clinique's product.
With this product you also have the choice to mix it fresh every time you use it, as well.
Hope this helps.
