Sagging Cheeks and Jowls: What Facial Exercises Did for Me

Hi Everyone!

If your cheeks are starting to sag or you're seeing little jowls forming along your jawline, you might be wondering if there's anything you can do at home.

I wondered the same thing when I started noticing changes in my own face. I'd tried different facial exercise programs over the years, but I wasn't always consistent.

Once I started following a regular full-face routine, I began noticing some changes. They weren't dramatic overnight changes, but looking back at my pictures, I could see a difference.

What changed for me?

Take a look at my before-and-after picture above. Here are a few things I noticed:

  • My cheeks looked a little fuller and more defined.

  • My jowls looked less heavy.

  • My lower face looked a little firmer.

  • The area around my nose and mouth looked smoother.

Of course, these are my personal results. Facial exercises won't remove loose skin or give everyone the same improvement. Research is still limited, and facial aging involves more than just muscles.

Do you have to exercise your whole face?

I prefer a full-face routine rather than just working on one area. That's how Carolyn's Facial Fitness program is designed, and it's the approach I've stuck with.

My routine takes about 15 minutes, usually three times a week. It's simple enough that I can keep up with it.

If your cheeks are your biggest concern, you can see the cheek exercises I use for a fuller, more lifted look.

And if you're mostly bothered by your jawline, I've shared a few at-home ideas for sagging jowls.

One little tip: Take pictures before you start and then every few weeks, using the same lighting and angle. That's been one of the easiest ways for me to follow my progress without constantly checking the mirror.

I've also shared my longer-term results and the full routine on my facial exercises for sagging face page.

For me, the biggest lesson has been patience and consistency. I'm glad I gave facial exercises a fair try, and I'm happy to share what I've learned along the way.
