Hi,
I have wanted to try facial toning exercises for a long time. I have a friend who has been doing them for years. She's over 70 and looks great, even though we're the same age.
But I have really bad arthritis in both hands, and I find doing face exercises painful and difficult.
I saw the Smoother Skin facial massage wand on your site and thought I'd give it a try.
It works well for me and doesn't hurt my hands. My face looks smoother and firmer. I've been using it every day for about four weeks, and I can really see a difference.
I don't follow any specific pattern. I just apply the oil, start at my forehead, and work my way down to my neck. I recently started using it on my chest to see if it helps with those little lines between my breasts.
I usually spend a few minutes on each section on one side, then repeat on the other side of my face.
I do this while watching TV, so I don't really know how long it takes because I zone out while doing it. It's very relaxing!
So thanks for bringing this wonderful tool to my attention. Finally, there's something I can use to massage my face that doesn't hurt my hands.
Sincerely,
Dottie
Editor's Note:
Hi Dottie,
I'm so glad you found a facial massage tool that works for you!
I love my facial exercises, but even my hands get tired sometimes. So I can imagine how difficult they must be when you have arthritis in both hands.
That's one reason I like massage wands. You can enjoy a relaxing facial massage without using your fingers to do all the work.
And I know exactly what you mean about using it while watching TV. I do the same thing! I've even used my older massage wand on the arches of my feet. It feels wonderful.
For anyone interested in trying a similar type of facial massage, I've also tested the Kansa facial massage wand.
It's a little different from the Smoother Skin wand Dottie used, but it has a smooth, rounded metal head and a wooden handle, so you can massage your face without putting as much work on your fingers.
In my Kansa wand review, I share how I use it, my before-and-after photos, and what kind of results I've noticed.
Of course, facial massage isn't going to permanently lift sagging skin or erase wrinkles. But I find it relaxing, and it can temporarily help my face look smoother and less puffy.
If you have arthritis or difficulty gripping things, just make sure any wand you choose feels comfortable in your hand. You shouldn't have to strain your fingers or wrists to use it.
Thanks again for sharing your experience, Dottie. It's helpful to hear about alternatives for women who find traditional facial exercises uncomfortable.
Best,
Linda
