The Anti-Ageing Startups looking to get Ahead of Big Pharma
by Billie Norman
There are lots of stories at the moment about senolytic therapies (that stop cells from dying and clear out those that have) and the NAD-boosting supplements have been around for a couple of years now.
It's really exciting to see startups in the UK and US taking the anti-ageing science on board to deliver therapeutics now. Although I don't think supplements will be the be-all and end-all, I think they will have a place and can offer something to people now.
Until we get the results of things like the TAME trial in America (where they are using metformin to stop ageing) we won't know how things will develop conclusively, but this article gives a bit of insight into how one UK health innovations company plans to do it:
"Linda has such a wealth of knowledge on wellness and specifically skin care. Linda's Blog is great. There are countless informational articles and postings that are not only interesting to read, but they prove that you don't have to spend a fortune to have great skin. I have already subscribed to the RSS feed, and so should you." (Ricki Ramey, LEF)
